Stéphane Pencréac'h
Stéphane Pencréac'h | Painter
Born in 1970. After studying history at the University of Paris VII, Stéphane Pencréac'h began working in painting, sculpture and drawing in the early 1990s, organizing his own exhibitions. His first exhibitions took place at the end of those years. His work, imbued with eroticism and sensuality, and highly sensitive to other cultures and the contradictions of the times, is at the frontier of Expressionism revisited in a highly personal way. His talent has been recognized by many critics, including Philippe Dagen (Le Monde), Jacques Bouzerand (Le Figaro) and Richard Leydier (Art Press). Stéphane Pencréac'h has worked with some of France's leading galleries, including Galerie Beaubourg, founded by Pierre Nahon, Galerie Anne de Villepoix and Galerie Vallois, founded by Robert Vallois.
